๐Ÿ’ฐ Refund Policy

Important: Government fees paid to FSSAI on your behalf are strictly non-refundable under all circumstances, as these are paid directly to the government authority. This policy governs the refund of GetFoodLicense's service charges only.

1. Overview

At GetFoodLicense, we are committed to delivering quality service. We understand that sometimes plans change, and we want to be fair and transparent about our refund terms. This policy explains when you are eligible for a refund and how to claim one.

Our service fees consist of two components:

  • Service Charge: GetFoodLicense's professional fee for consultation, document preparation, application filing, and follow-up (this may be partially or fully refundable)
  • Government Fee: FSSAI's prescribed fee paid to the government on your behalf (non-refundable in all cases)

2. Refund Eligibility Table

Your refund eligibility depends on the stage at which you cancel:

3. Non-Refundable Situations

No refund will be issued in the following cases:

  • Government fees in any situation (these are paid to FSSAI and cannot be recovered)
  • Application already submitted on the FSSAI FoSCoS portal
  • Rejection of application due to submission of incorrect, incomplete, or fraudulent documents by the client
  • Change of mind after application is in process
  • Delays caused by government processing โ€” refunds are not issued for delays beyond our control
  • Cases where the client has not responded to our document requests for more than 30 days
  • Discounts, promotional offers, or complimentary services

4. Application Rejection โ€” Our Commitment

If your FSSAI application is rejected due to an error on our part (such as incorrect filing or wrong information entered by us), we will:

  • Re-file your application at zero additional service charge
  • Absorb any re-filing costs on our end
  • Prioritise your case for faster processing

If the rejection is due to incomplete or incorrect documents provided by you, or due to a government-level inspection finding, our standard no-refund post-filing policy applies.

5. How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, follow these steps:

  1. Contact us within the eligible cancellation window (see table above)
  2. Send an email to info@getfoodlicense.com with your reference number (FS-XXXXX), full name, phone number, and reason for cancellation
  3. Our team will review your request within 2 business days
  4. If approved, the refund will be processed to your original payment method within 5โ€“7 business days
  5. You will receive a confirmation via WhatsApp and email once the refund is initiated

6. Refund Processing Time

Once a refund is approved:

  • UPI / Net Banking: 2โ€“3 business days
  • Debit / Credit Card: 5โ€“7 business days (depends on your bank)
  • Razorpay Wallet: Instant to 1 business day

Refunds are processed to the same payment method used for the original transaction. We cannot process refunds to a different account.

7. Duplicate Payments

If you have been charged twice for the same order due to a technical error, please contact us immediately with both payment reference numbers. We will verify and refund the duplicate charge within 3 business days.

8. Disputes & Chargebacks

We encourage you to contact us directly before raising a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. Most issues can be resolved quickly through direct communication. Raising an unjustified chargeback while services have been rendered may result in legal action to recover amounts owed.

9. Changes to This Policy

GetFoodLicense reserves the right to update this Refund Policy at any time. The policy in effect at the time of your payment will apply to your transaction. We encourage you to review this page before making a purchase.
